Submissions for 2nd NGO World Videos are open from the 15th of May until the 31st of July 2010.
NGO World Videos – Reportage from the Global South is promoted by COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale and the Milano Film Festival, which will take place from the 10th until the 19th of September 2010.
The call for entries is open to works:
– produced by NGO and humanitarian organisations who works in south countries
– realised by filmmakers who have received a commitment by an NGO
– of any genre, language and format
– up to 12 minutes long
– documenting projects in the South and the relations between North and South
The short films can develop different themes: environment (with a particular attention to the agricultural and idrical resources), education, health human rights, the empowerment of local communities, emergencies and humanitarian aid.
Shorts will have to be up to 12 minutes long.

How to submit a film:
A dvd screener of the film must be sent by the 31st July 2010 to the headquarters of Milano Film Festival; the online submission for must be submitted through the website: milanofilmfestival.it
All participants can submit up to 3 short films.

The selection committee is composed by film experts. The official jury who will award the Best Short Film on social communication will be composed by three members from different sectors of Italian cultural world: filmmakers, writers, cultural operators…
During the festival 2/3 screening programmes will be dedicated to the short films selected through the call for entries.
There will also be a round table about social video communication with the authors and the jury, and the Best Short Film will be awarded.
